This is one of our favorite groups, and it is an honor to host them.  A moment we have waited for, the release of a new DPQ CD! Their last album won them a 4 star review in Downbeat magazine as well as a Pathways to Jazz grant to help produce this one.

This is a GREAT band of stellar musicians - Dexter Payne, Raoul Rossiter, Bill Kopper, Dave Willey, Victor Mestas, with the addition of Elena Camerin Young. Elena is a versatile and talented vocalist with amazing depth, from traditional Italian ballads to free jazz. She has graced our living room with her amazing voice and glowing smile.

" Happy new year! Finally - a chance to celebrate our album with our home town Boulder family. Recorded at Mighty Fine Productions and thanks in part to a grant from Pathways to Jazz (Boulder County Arts Alliance), the CD is a great snapshot. We are all excited to share it with friends in Boulder, old and new. I know you will be as thrilled as we are with Elena's musical spirit of collaboration and her heart warming presence!

We will feature songs from the new CD as well as other newer pieces, a mix of our beloved choro-jazz (think samba), jazz forro (jazz for-all) and other rhythms. 
This is music for dancing. If it moves you - you are invited!"
